ABOUT NANCY

I spent years simply observing wildlife before picking up a camera in 2006 to record what I was seeing. I grew up in the midwest although I currently call Seattle home. I spend part of each year photographing and writing about wildlife and other nature subjects in the American and Canadian west.

My work has appeared in Birder's World, Northwest, Kenmore Airlines Magazine, and in the books, The Exultant Ark and Natural Skagit: A Journey from Mountains to Sea. My photos have also appeared on commercial websites as well as in publications ranging from national park newsletters and college catalogs to greeting cards and corporate postcards.

When not photographing nature, I provide marketing consulting for my company, Cut to the Chase Marketing, I'm also a writer whose articles have appeared in a variety of national publications. One of my favorite activities, other than photographing wildlife, is giving speeches and seminars on a range of marketing topics important to small business owners and entrepreneurs.
