Sleeping
Canadian Rockies

This little black bear cub fell sound asleep in the crook of a pine tree bough about 25 feet up. Even though it appeared asleep, it would cock its ears, as if waiting for its mother to call it down out of the tree. The mother put the cub up the tree in order to graze on the green shoots below. The cub climbed and played in the tree until it got worn out, then fell asleep.
