Stuck
Canadian Rockies

This little black bear cub, less than six months old, climbed up a huge pine tree at its mother's signal. But it seemed to have trouble getting down again. After wailing and not getting any attention from the mother, the cub finally figured out how to get down from the tree on its own.

Some black bear sows will respond to a cub's calls by climbing the tree. This seems to give the cubs the confidence to scramble down the tree with the mother right behind them.
